German is asking the applicants whether they have taken a workshop with him before, which one, and where. Also, whether they have taken any Ultima Vez workshop before with another teaching artist. And if not, how familiar they are with this kind of physicality. Please upload a CV & motivational letter, a video can be optional and is not mandatory.

Ultima Vez Vocabulary with GERMAN JAUREGUI ALLUE

Week 3 17:00 – 19:00

The main objective of the workshop will be to identify, learn and practice the fundamental technical elements that form the basis of the work, so that they can be used in different contexts. There will be a deeper look at the influence of our experience during the performance, such as our movement intentions, the physical state of the body and mind during the dance or our relationship to the space and to others. There will also be space to explore the ideas behind the movements: e.g. how working with images can help us to move out of necessity. The aim is to find strategies to change and develop our movement qualities, to discover the potential of movement as a generator of experience and expression. Having fun while working will also be an essential element of this workshop.
