LACE Extended: We Can Plant, Spin, Weave, Shape between Hands and Hearts with Yahsmine Lamar

Reflecting on her eco-somatic experiences in organic agriculture, Yahsmine Lamar realized how this way of life fosters the building of a community. Through the studies in Body-Mind Centering and other somatic movement practices, she encountered an open-systemic perspective on our bodily systems and the decision-making patterns projected by both the mind and the body. It borrows her an understanding of the relationship between heart, hands, and brain. In LACE Extended she will introduce her proposal incorporating how this hands-heart-brain connection embodiment can guide us through a communal work with clay, followed by creating an opportunity to experiment in a kind of performative laboratory.
